But each of us has the power through our daily decisions and lifestyle choices to make our homes and communities a more healthier and beautiful place to live and work. Oakland Earth Day is the time communities, neighbors, acquaintances, relatives, friends and people from all walks of life come together to show our appreciation, celebrate and give a little something back to earth. The City of Oakland – Public Works Agency invites you to join locally, a worldwide event on Saturday April 18, 2009 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. Clean it. Green it. Mean it!”
